Sorry for late post- I know I promised one Friday. Not too much to report this time. It is another hospital chemo weekend. Which has been absolutely un-eventful thus far.
Friday was a bit frustrating. We had an appointment to check into the hospital at 3:30. I was not given a bed until after 7::30. So, we basically sat in the lobby for 4 hours. Once we got our room, the attending stopped by and advised that it would be like last time wehre I would get my chemo at 10PM. Soooo, that leaves us some free time. We were able to skip out and go see some friends and have a quick dinner. Good stuff. At 10 on the nose, they hooked me up to a 2 hour drip. Piece of cake.
Satruday was great as well. I have to stay around my room til the doc makes his rounds in the AM. He came around about 11:00 AM. After deciding all was well after the Fri nite dose, he allowed us to go grab some lunch and whatever. We did some take out back to the house and hung out 'til about 6- just in time to catch some family visitors back at the hospital. My next drip wasnt to start until 9:00 PM, so we had plenty of free time. Around 8:00 our dear friends Wendy and Scott brought in some dinner for us- which was perfect. A nice meal before the drip. We had a great time. The three of them drank wine while I watched.
Im in the middle of the big drip right now. This is the 24 hour one that made me sick as a dog last time. It started at midnight last night, so I am right at 1/2 way done with it. So far, so good. No ickiness at all. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'ts my goal to get through it this time unscathed.
Thats it for now. I know, I owe you guys some pictures. I'll get 'em up soon as I can get my shit together.
Glad to hear you are in good spirits and thanks for the update. We've been thinking about you.

Hi Jeff--Wendy told me that she came to see you last night and I was thinking about you, so I caught up on your blog. Sounds like you are rocking this thing! Don't you just love Color-Ku? We are fellow addicts as well! Just finished one month of BC and feel great!Thank you for putting together such an awesome group of people at BTB.
Let me know if you need anything while at Emory. I live 4 minutes from there!

Hi, Jeff,
Busy and fun morning at the gym! Sam did an excellent job being bossman, and we all had a blast. I am amazed by how wonderful the group of people you bring together truly is. We miss you so much, and I just want you to know I am thinking about you!

Great to hear #2 has been going well! We miss you around here. Another fun busy morning at the gym, but not the same without your booming voice & wisecracks. Mel stopped by the gym last night for a few minutes and it was great to see her and get a quick update on you. I think she said you were doing box jumps on the A/C unit in your hospital room? Or was that just a rumor? :-)
I wish you knew how many people last night & this morning have asked how you both are doing. You'd be amazed at what a positive effect you have on not only us at BTB but also people you've never even met. Dave's sister-in-law as well as my family and friends in Chicago were asking how you're doing and wish you the best! One friend even offered to make & ship food. I've had her cooking, and just to make sure you didn't get ill, I declined on your behalf. You'll thank me later for that one.
Hope to see you wandering around here in a few days!
