Yup- weekend is here. Awesome day outdoors today and all is well today. Had our first follow up appointment at Emory today since the first blast. Kind of disappointed- Winship is great because of the knowledge and resources, but it is so big most everyone is just another number. Spent 3 hours of my day and didn't even get to see the doc. Got to see some nurse practitioner who only went through the motions of an exam. I guess the good side of that is that everything is totally normal and going as planned thus far. No need for a special visit from the all mighty doc, I guess. Enough belly achin.
All counts were good, and I've been cleared to get into the public without a mask- at least for a few days until the cycle starts over. I'm on day 7 since beginning of last treatment. Nurse says white count normally takes a dip between days 10 and 14. Its on day 14 I'll be going back in for another dose. I'll have to be extra careful between 10 and 14. If anyone sees me rubbing my nose, eyes or fingers in mouth- slap my hand away from my skull. They say that's how I'll get an infection- surface contact. Not so much from air borne junk.
That being said, it is the dear Wifey's birthday today. We are going to head to Neighbors around 7 to sit on the deck out back have some food and a couple of suds if anyone wants to stop by. Thats all for today- hope to have a good story or something to post before I go back in next Friday. Cheers.
PS: Dana, I watch the UFC on spike quite often. You are right- it is a better "fight".
Jeff,
I don't know if you remember me or not, but I was your first girlfriend ever. We rode the same bus and I remember breaking up with you becaused you cussed. I am sorry to hear about your fight, but you are no doubt a strong man and you will get through this. I would love to help you in anyway I can. My Dad just bought the house next to your old house in Forest Hills. I remember the only party I ever went to at your house. Please let me know how you are and if I can do anything.

OK- so I thought I was being sent way back when Joey and Kevin posted on my blog for round 1. Now, this absolutely takes the cake. Lynn, hello and I hope all is well with you and your family. I hope your Dad isn't still finding any old beer cans or anything out in the woods at the house next door he bought. There may be a few- starting with my brothers before I even knew what a cold beer looked like. Great to hear from you!
