It's Wed, and I think I am turning the corner from that f'ed up pile of poison they laid on me last weekend. I'm feeling pretty well with decent energy. As long as I keep eating smaller meals, but often, my stomach is staying good. I'm having to take so many damn pills now, I can't keep up. Melissa has me on a regimen, just like a good nurse. I've got a pill box with days and times listed on it. Makes it quite simple actually.
With my very diverse group of friends, I have made it a pretty formal choice to never talk politics or religion. Well, sometimes I cut it loose. I am still going to stick to that. This is an open forum, and any of you can discuss what you want. Just don't expect an answer from me. I only mention this as a lead in that I was watching the presidential debate tonight. I'll just call it a cat fight. That is what it reminded me of. I enjoy a good political debate, watching skin crawl and lips being bitten. Americana at its finest. As sad as it is, one of the highlights of my day.
The debate was not my only highlight. I went along with Melissa on some errands, and we stopped in at the CrossFit gym to watch the noon class. "The Nooners" as we have coined them. Good tough bunch. I will say my biggest highlight of the day came at dinner tonight. I broke out Mr Mayfields spaghetti casserole that he made for us right when I got re-diagnosed. I was hiding it in the freezer. Charles, you are da man! I ate 4 helpings and a can of pears. I think I violated the small meal scenario with that one. Oh well.
Just awake and bored and felt like a shout out. Hope everyone is doing well. Thanks everyone for your phone calls, emails and general support. I really don't know what M & I would do without such a loving network of family and friends. Stay tuned.......
Jeff,
I thought about you this morning when I was ready to give up as Vic was punishing us with the Grinder...Remembering the first time I experienced this ass kicking workout with you at Piedmont! Thinking about how tough you are kept me in the game! Thanks for inspiring me to work as hard as possible even when you are not there cheering!

Jeff, Jeff, Jeff. Instead of the highlight of your Wednesday being the political debate, you should have been watching this season of The Ultimate Fighter on Spike. Far more heart and raw honesty from these meatheads than you get from the smooth talking politicians (I chose a nice word) in the debate.
I dare say you have many lurkers reading your blog because all of us have spread the word via email about your blog. We enjoy your thoughts and updates, buddy. Keep it up. You have a lot of people praying for you. In additon, you continue to inspire many of us, I'm sure. When I am in my 3rd mile and I think I want to quit and go do something else, I sometimes think of your fight and endurance and keep going for the 4th or 5th.
