Hey everybody,
Well, today was a new experience for us...Jeff finally acted like a real chemo patient & lost his lunch...a lot! Matt E & Caroline even got to witness it! Luckily he is not too nauseated, just can't keep anything down. He also has the hiccups...pretty much all the time. That is not a new one for him! Just the way he reacts to chemo.
We have been checked into Emory since Friday afternoon, as he mentioned he had a 2 hour drip Friday night, he basically had the whole day off on Sat & didn't begin again until 10 pm Sat night. He started a 24 hour drip at 3 AM Sunday am & that is the one that has been making him sick. He'll finish up Monday at 3 AM with a 12 hour drip & be done Monday at 3 pm. We assume that means we can leave...but I have a funny feeling we might be here a bit longer.
We had a great lunch with Jeff's parents on Sat, had a picnic dinner in the hospital room with Wendy & Scott plus we played ColorKu which is like Suduko with colors...very fun, and Jeff hung out with Matt E. & Caroline today as well. Thanks for all the emails, phone calls, doggie visits & field trips, and visits. You guys are all so wonderful. We'll check back soon. M
God bless you Hayes! You are in my prayers. Keep up the good fight.
